DEE-Ltd’s adapted lightweight 3-cylinder Toyota engine ‘gets off the ground’

Hovercraft and most recently an off-the-shelf driveline for microlight / light sport aircraft and Gyro planes are just two of the more recent applications for which DEE-Ltd’s adapted and lightweight 65kg 3-cylinder engine has been selected as highly suitable. Producing between 90 and 100bhp in normally aspirated guise, with a boosted version planned which will produce between 110 and 120bhp, the engine has plenty of power as a thrust engine for hovercraft or as a propulsion unit, driving through a bespoke PSRU (prop speed reduction unit) for microlight / light sport aircraft and Gyro planes.
